Just wanted to give a quick update to those interested in my progress.
I was sidelined with an external oblique injury for 5 weeks in May/June and got back out on the road roughly 7 weeks ago. Since coming back, I’ve played 6 tournaments and had very little rest in the week I had ”off”. Right now, I’m taking a proper week off and I am loving it. 🙂 Nothing beats waking up in your own warm bed, opening the window and inhaling in the fresh Irish air. I tend to miss the simple things like this when out on the road.
The past 7 weeks involved playing three Futures tournaments in a row in scorching temperatures in Spain, followed by a few days panicking over Visa requirements for Russia, followed by Challengers in Holland, Russia and then The Irish Open.
Each week presented its own set of unique challenges but the trip to Penza, Russia sticks out the most. God, I won’t be going back there unless I bring some sort of survival kit with me. I’ll go into more detail on the trip in my next blog post which will come out within the next few days.
My plan over the coming weeks is to get back training and then play a few tournaments in Italy. I’ll do my best to keep you updated!
Thanks for the support,
